Las Vegas has some of the best restaurants in the world — and some of the most expensive. Here’s how to eat incredibly well without blowing your entire budget at the hotel.

The Golden Rule: Don’t Eat at the Hotel

Hotel restaurants charge 2–3x more for the same quality food you can get a short walk away. The exception: if you’re at Bellagio, Venetian, or Wynn and want a special dinner, they have world-class restaurants worth the price.

Budget Eats ($8–20/meal)

In-N-Out Burger — A West Coast institution. Fresh, never frozen burgers. Lines are long for a reason. ~$8 for a meal. There’s one near the Strip at 4888 Dean Martin Dr.
Casino Food Courts — Every major casino has a food court with 8–12 restaurants. Prices are 30–40% lower than the hotel restaurants. Planet Hollywood and Aria have excellent options.
Raising Cane’s — Chicken tenders. Simple menu, addictive sauce, cheap. Huge local following.

Mid-Range Restaurants ($25–60/person)

Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips (The LINQ) — Casual, fast, excellent. The fish and chips are legitimately great.
Yardbird (The Venetian) — Southern American comfort food. The fried chicken is legendary. Busy on weekends — make a reservation.
Secret Pizza (Caesars Palace, 3rd floor) — Hidden, unmarked, no signage. Take the escalators to the 3rd floor of the Forum Shops tower. Best cheap pizza on the Strip. ~$5/slice.
Giada (The Cromwell) — Celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis. Italian-American, fresh ingredients, great Strip views. $40–60/person.

Special Occasion ($80–200+/person)

Picasso (Bellagio) — Fine French-Spanish cuisine surrounded by original Picasso paintings. One of the most unique dining experiences in the world.
é by José Andrés (The Cosmopolitan) — 8-seat tasting menu, avant-garde cuisine, theatrical presentation. Book months in advance.
Joël Robuchon (MGM Grand) — Classic French fine dining from one of the most decorated chefs in history.

Buffets: Worth It or Not?

Las Vegas buffets were legendary — but many closed during the pandemic and haven’t returned. The ones still operating charge $40–70/person. Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace is the gold standard if you want the full buffet experience. Otherwise, the food court is better value.
